Rust Meetup #33
- 18:00 – Introduction
- 18:10 – Michał Chodzikiewicz – Are we IoT yet?
To make a viable IoT device, you need to be able to remotely update firmware in the field.
To make this happen, a failsafe bootloader is a must.
Let's check how it could be done for an ARM microcontroller.
Difficulty: intermediate
- 19:00 – Pizza break!
- 19:30: Patryk Wychowaniec - wait, why (??)
Let’s talk about Rust during the 33rd community meetup!
For the first time, we invite you to the Thaumatec office, where we will listen to two presentations from Rust community members. The host of the April edition is Thaumatec.
The event will be streamed on the Rust Wrocław channel.
Rust is widely regarded as a well thought out language - that being said, it does have some surprising corners that come up here and there. In this talk I'm going to show you what's the difference between `.filter_map()` and `.flat_map()` for `Option`s, what's the deal with `const FOO: AtomicUsize`, and many others things that I've stumbled upon myself when writing and reviewing code.
Difficulty: there's going to be something for everybody!
