Frameworks have dominated the frontend world for ages. Things like Prototype, jQuery, Bootstrap, Ember, React, Angular or Vue (just to name the top players) form the basis of modern web development. But there is one more thing that is mostly overlooked - the native browser environment. Over the last decade it has been greatly unified and where there is no native unification there are polyfills to even the rough edges. In this presentation we're going to take a look at some of the goodness that comes with the browser and some of the future development that is coming to our doorsteps.
