Amazon Alexa Hackathon – Gdańsk

Come and join us to build your first voice-enabled app. In a few lines of code you will be able to write a program that listens to you and responds with a lifelike voice. All that is required is an own laptop and some basic coding skills. You can either form a team (of up to three people) or come alone and join one of the existing ones.

FAQ

Q: Do I have to know any particular programming language/technology?

A: It's the easiest to start in Python, Java or JavaScript as we provide some boilerplate code for these languages. However, you are free to use any language/framework that can accept HTTP requests.

Q: What can such an app do?

A: Your app will accept voice requests and respond in a lifelike speech. In other words, you will be able to talk to your app and it will talk back. Don't worry if you don't know anything about speech-processing, you will have a chance to see how simple this is.
