Bluemix mini-Hack

Welcome! This time we would like to invite everyone to take part in a mini-hack. It's goal is to setup Scala application on IBM Bluemix - a cloud-based platform for building, managing, and running apps of all types. We would like to setup Akka application with REST API exposed via Play Framework or Spray.io and taking advantage of the services that the platform provides. Szymon Brandys from IBM team will be our coach during the meetup. The final task is yet to come - feel free to sent suggestions via meetup comments but above all it should prepare Scala Users for the final Krakaton (read more below :)). Our mini-hack will be a second from the series of events about IBM Bluemix organized with Hackerspace, VirtusLab, IBM and AGH. We encourage everyone to take part in an introductory meetup hosting John Arthorne from IBM Canada who is a senior developer of cloud-based solutions at IBM. The meetup will take place on 31.10! The details and registration is conducted via HS meetup here! Finally after our mini-hack there will be the Krakaton! - A grand 3-day event starting November 21st aimed at building applications that can help people in our region and using data from the Otwarta Malopolska. Scala will be only one of the technologies used during the hackathon so we must prepare well :) !.
