Yoav Niran - Open source is hard work

Anyone can push code to a public repository on Github and call it “open-source”. Yet, it takes effort and commitment to create a project that others will find useful and want to use. Especially if it’s going into production. From Idea to CI to Logo, open-source is hard work and is an adventure worth taking on.

Mateusz Bryła - Recoil

Every React app at a certain time needs to answer this question: how do we manage state. Are useState and context enough for us? Or do we need Redux / MobX. It is time to meet a new contender - coming straight from facebookexperimental repo.

Meet Recoil - minimal state management library that “works and thinks like React”.

Find out more about our speakers: Yoav and Mateusz.

-Yoav is a Senior front-end developer at Cloudinary. Building SPA applications focusing on performance and ease of use. In addition to writing code, he’s also been writing sci-fi novels. One finished and another underway.

-Mateusz is a programmer trying to let his creativity run free without limits. Loves to take complicated problems head-on and share knowledge and experiences with others. Privately a music lover and a traveler. Currently working with Cloudinary - a company that has taken image delivery to a whole new level. Hates to be bored and to bore others, so expect something dynamic and interesting
