We're thrilled to announce our May meetup! This month will be special as it's our 5th birthday. Come join us and celebrate this amazing occasion - we'll have cake for everyone! We'll be meeting in our usual spot of Crux cafe, make sure you arrive at the right place!
And one more goodie - apart from the usual give away items you can win at our meetup (t-shirt and Jetbrains license) we'll also have a Ray Wenderlich book (Advanced Apple Debugging & Reverse Engineering)!
Talks:
- Adam Stasiak
Test Engineer at Polidea. Mostly focused on mobile apps UI Tests automation and CI usage for testing purpose. Experienced in native projects, now exploring cross-platform technologies.
# React Native is Coming — the story of hybrid mobile application testing
Main idea of this talk is to show what technologies can be used for cross-platform mobile app development and how to deal with them using native testing frameworks as Espresso or XCUITest and also using cross-platform options. During the talk I will present how to apply UI tests to React-Native project by Detox framework example.
- Krzysztof Siejkowski
iOS developer at Polidea
# How to use Swift compiler as a library? Case study of Swift obfuscator
Since Swift has been open sourced, it provided many opportunities for the language to develop in great directions. However, the compiler is not only a tool that we can take and use as is. It's also a huge codebase that we can expand and integrate in our own projects. When the team I worked in had been assigned a task of providing the obfuscation for a particular app, this is exactly what we did.
During the talk I'll present the resulting Swift obfuscator tool, show the approach we've chosen when building it, discuss the adventages and drawbacks of using compiler as a library and look through the possible alternatives.
