14:00-14:30 Adam Otto: "DOSing your own cluster, why resource quotas are important"

Kubernetes in its perfection still isn't bugless. Kube-controller-manager has a bug which allows users with rights to create deployments, to continuously perform a DOS within the cluster which in certain conditions may lead to the collapse of the control plane. Fortunately for us, with properly configured resource quotas we can avoid such a situation and limit the impact. In this short talk, I will do a quick demo of the bug and give a recipe to minimize its effect.
